Soumyo Das, he/him
I am a doctoral candidate in Strategy & Organization at Emlyon Business School, France.
My research examines corporate sustainability initiatives. More specifically, I investigate how firms balance profits and purpose in and through the management and organization of these initiatives. The questions that typically interest me require intensive field engagement and lend themselves to strategy process scholarship.
I am a part of the Strategy, Organization, & Management (STORM) Research Centre, where I am advised by Bernard Forgues and Brice Dattée. Ilze Kivleneice (INSEAD) has also been instrumental in shaping my scholarship as an external advisor.
At Emlyon, I teach courses on strategy, innovation, & sustainability at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Prior, I read Information Systems at IIIT Bangalore. As a part of the Centre for IT & Public Policy, I studied the use of ICTs for sustainable development. My research from this phase can be accessed in outlets including Information, Communication, & Society, Technology in Society, and in the proceedings of the IFIP & ICTD.
